Sarah Hechtman has been a practicing attorney in New York since 1993.  After spending three years in private practice as a litigator, she went on to become an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan before turning to a career in children's advocacy at both Children's Rights, a national advocacy organization and Advocates For Children of New York, an educational advocacy group.

Sarah has been a mediator since 2003, bringing to bear her experience as an attorney and child welfare specialist.  She is a board member of the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York for which she chairs the Public Relations and Government Affairs Committees.  She is also a member of the New York State Council of Divorce Mediation, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.

Sarah is a graduate of Harvard College, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Columbia University School of Law.

Sarah lives in Westchester County with her husband and young son.  She maintains offices in New York City and Westchester.
